The Scottish Accreditation Board
The Board are always looking for new members. If you have a background in training or have previously or currently hold a personal or project licence but are not currently a trainer, please get in touch. More details on the time required to be a member of the Board are below.

There are three scheduled Board meetings year each. These have been held at University of Glasgow, SRUC Roslin and King's Buildings, Edinburgh, University of Strathclyde and University of Stirling.

The Board is represented at meetings of other accreditation bodies, Home Office meetings and as an observer at TAWG.
Accreditation visits may be for one or more days and may be shared between two or more accreditors.

The visits may be face to face at venues within the UK, via zoom or similar or fully online elearning, working through the course at your own pace.

Time will be needed to complete the reports and consider feedback from training providers. Some report writing may be ongoing during attendance at courses.

Numbers of accrediting visits vary and may typically be two to four per year.

It is important to note that as volunteers, members give from the time they have available and that this might vary from time to time because of other commitments.

A full board membership allows flexibility of allocation of accreditation visits.

All members expenses are covered along with the provision of IT and other support needed to sustain work for the Board.
